Patient Participation Group
A Patient Participation Group (PPG) is a group of patients who work with the practice to help improve the services we provide. It provides a link between patients and the practice, giving patients an opportunity to share their views, raise issues and make suggestions about how services could be improved.
The PPG works alongside the practice team to help ensure that the views and experiences of patients are considered when making decisions and developing services. It can also help the practice understand what matters most to the people who use our services and communicate important information to the wider patient community.
Our PPG works in several ways to benefit both the practice and our patients, these include:
- Providing patient feedback - We gather patients opinions on the services we provide and siggest inporvements, based on real experiences.
- Helping shape services - By discussing changes in the practice, we ensure that patient voices are heard when decisions are made.
- Improving communication - We help inform patients about new services, health campaigns and any changes in healthcare provision.
- Organising health events - the group may help arrange information sessions or health awareness events to benefit our community.
- Supporting the practice - They assist in non-medical ways, such as changes to our systems, Helping with Covid and flu vacccinations and much more.
